“ this place is very delicious, came very late to closing and didn’t have many option since they run out for how delicious it is. I got the two meat and two sides. It was very delicious! My husband gotten a baked potato with turkey. I couldn’t get over how delicious it has and the flavor of it. ”
“ I loved this place, first time we’ve been and we were first through the door. The building is a perfect 1959 time warp which is always awesome! The folks were friendly. The sides were actually good (most bbq places can’t do that for some reason). The ribs were ridiculous, fall off the bone, juicy, perfect seasoning. The sliced brisket was very good and had a nice bark. And funny enough, the pit ham was phenomenal. I will absolutely come back, it’s a good find. ”
“ It was wonderful to find this 61-year old institution still serving delicious BBQ. The meat is delicious, without the sauce (the sauce is great tho). Super tender and moist, just as it should be. The staff is fun and friendly, which makes you feel right at home. The photos don't do this place justice. Just stop in and have a bite. You won't regret it. Don't forget dessert. ”
“ Let me tell you something! I can see why this place has been in business for as long as it has! I am in my car just picked up my very first to go order and I am giving a five star review. When I walked in, I was immediately greeted by the gentleman preparing behind the line Told him I was there for a pick up order. He recited my name and began to prepare my food. (Simple baked potato) I had opted to select my dessert upon arrival as I’m a bit of a snob about my peach cobbler. I saw this wonderfully glorious chocolate dessert, and I inquired about what it was Bethany was quick to give me a description of this dessert, I felt as if I was at a fine dining restaurant on a luxurious date listening to the description from a high paid server, pure passion. Upon checking out, I was greeted by lovely smile from a woman who was just as pleasant as the rest of the experience. Excellent I love when I find small mom and pop places that exceeded expectations and service! I will update on the food later, but I can hardly see that I will find anything wrong with it lol Fantastic Job! Signed: A serious food service snob lol (just ask my husband) ”
“ Omg I love it . I live in NY here for work. Found this tiny little BBQ place with amazing food!! Totally worth the 21. I suggest getting it to go not many seats and you won't wanna move after you eat here! ”
“ The food was great. I especially loved the brisket, mac’n cheese, and fried okra. The staff were friendly and helpful. I could tell they stay busy but it was nice that when we were there the line wasn’t super long. I’d definitely come back here! ”
“ I'm in town for work. This place was recommended. The food is great!! I tried the brisket, hot links, baked beans and green beans. It was all yummy. The only thing better than the food is the employees. Very nice and welcoming. You need to stop here! ”
“ This is the real deal. Many great bbq places in Texas, but this is a multi-generational restaurant with a great feel and some great contributions to the art and process of bbq. Brisket was stellar and the sides were solid. Walk around and let the walls talk to you and the ask the staff if you have questions. ”
